Rosehill Quarry Community Park, England

In Victorian times Rosehill Quarry provided the stone for the house in Mount pleasant. Later, it became the site of a tennis club, and then, in the 1980s a community park. Now it welcomes dog walkers, picknickers, artists, school trips and anyone who likes a bit of green space. Rosehill Quarry is a unique partnership: it is owned by Swansea Council, but is managed day to day by volunteers of the Rosehill Quarry Group.
